Welcome to the new BI Blog!
Thank you for joining me at my first ever blog. I wanted to dedicate this blog to everything that is BI, or Business Intelligence for the rest of the world. This means that I want to include here everything that is business concepts, business methodologies, best practices, technology tricks, technology usage and everything and anything that is BI because at the end of the day, BI is all of those things and more. I have worked in this area for a number of years from the technology perspective to the business analysis concepts, one needs the other to become an effective and functional BI. A methodology cannot work without follow through, and follow through will not happen without everyone being on-board with the methodology. Technology allows us to analyze the follow through and develop a plan.
For this blog, I borrowed a tag line from the most recent Microsoft product, PerformancePoint Server, because it is very true to the point, you must plan, monitor and analyze your data, methodology, activities, results, etc, etc….and then repeat, because the cycle of business doesn’t end!
In this blog I will write about general BI as I know it and experienced it, technology that I use to develop it, some technical issues that I encounter and overcome and basically anything that is BI!
